⚙ TradeLink setup

Install TradeLink in a few minutes.

If NinjaTrader 8 and MetaTrader 5 are already installed, the TradeLink setup is normally a quick local install: start the bridge, import the NinjaTrader AddOn zip file into NinjaTrader, connect MT5, then run a small Sim101/demo test before using any live or funded account.

Package layout

After unzipping the user package, you should see three main folders:

Start the TradeLink bridge

  1. Open 1_TradeLinkBridge.
  2. Double-click Start TradeLink Bridge.bat or TradeLinkBridge.exe.
  3. Open http://127.0.0.1:5000 in your browser.
  4. Activate TradeLink if prompted, using the email and activation key shown in your members dashboard.
  5. Set the path to your MetaTrader terminal64.exe in the dashboard.
  6. In the Settings form, make sure MT5 hedge orders is enabled.

Import the NinjaTrader AddOn zip file into NinjaTrader

  1. Open NinjaTrader 8.
  2. Go to Control Center > Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-On.
  3. Select the compiled TradeLink AddOn zip file from 2_NinjaTrader.
  4. Restart NinjaTrader if prompted.
  5. Open Control Center > New > TradeLink.
  6. Confirm the AddOn shows Connection OK.

Run your first test on Sim101 and an MT5 demo account

  1. Confirm the TradeLink dashboard shows MT5 connected.
  2. Confirm the dashboard shows NT AddOn active: 1.
  3. Check that the AddOn account dropdown is set to Sim101.
  4. Submit a small test order.
  5. Confirm the dashboard record updates.
  6. Close the test trade.
  7. Confirm the closed record appears in recent closed/history.

Runtime data and logs

TradeLink stores local runtime data under your Windows local app-data folder:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\TradeLink

This is where logs, local settings, and the SQLite record database live.
